A cargo flight linking Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province to Osaka, Japan was launched on June 19.
"It is the third international freight line to be launched at the Sunan Shuofang International Airport after the cargo flight between Wuxi and Chicago in the United States and Hahn in Germany," said Zhu Yongjian, president of Sunan Shuofang International Airport Group Co Ltd.

The new cargo flights are meant to ease the burden on more than 1,200 Japan-invested enterprises in the city, which have found it difficult to import raw materials from Japan this year due to COVID-19 outbreaks around the world.
The cargo flights operated by YT Express are a branch of the route from Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang to Osaka. The air freighter will return to Wuxi from Osaka after it departs from Hangzhou and then return to Hangzhou from Osaka.

The cargo flights will operate once every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and in the future, it is expected to operate every day between Wuxi and Osaka.
YT Express has launched many flights from Wuxi to Tianjin, Hong Kong and other cities in recent years. At the very beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuxi in 2020, the delivery company imported medical supplies from overseas to Wuxi, and after the city contained the pandemic, YT Express was responsible for transporting Wuxi-made cargo to other countries.
