Jiangsu's intangible cultural heritage items captivated German visitors to the "Grand Canal Meets Rhine River" exhibition during "An Encounter with Chinese Culture: Jiangsu Week of Chinese Folk Music" in Stuttgart, Germany, starting on Sept 18.
Nanjing brocade, Yixing purple clay teapots, Wuxi fine embroidery, Yangzhou lacquerware, Jintan paper cutting, folk music performances, and other intangible cultural heritage items received significant interest from visitors.

Several German visitors also showed keen interest in the onsite demonstrations showcasing the craft of making Huishan clay figurines and erhu, a Chinese two-stringed musical instrument.
They were treated to an immersive journey along the beautiful Grand Canal through a 3D video produced by Nanjing's Phoenix Publishing and Media Group in collaboration with Modern Express.

Six young performers from the Wuxi Chinese Orchestra enchanted their German audience with their skillful rendition of Chinese folk music, offering them a deeper insight into the rich culture of Jiangnan.
