Here is the second part of cultural tourism in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province. It revolves around local tea culture and river town flavor.
Tea culture-themed route
Wuxi boasts fine tea leaves such as Yangxian Xueya and Taihu Cuizhu, high-quality water such as Huishan Spring, and of course, nice teapots such as those made of Yixing purple clay, giving the city a refined tea culture.
Huishan Spring in Huishan Ancient Town is known as "The Second Finest Spring under Heaven". Citizens can enjoy a long and serene afternoon here sipping tea and watching fish play in the water.
The Yixing Ceramics Museum is a must-visit spot in Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi as it houses numerous priceless purple clay teapots. Visitors can also take some time there to make their own purple clay teapot.

River town-themed route
The ancient towns in Wuxi thrived because of water and here visitors can find the city's historical traces and the hustle and bustle of old times.

Nanquan Ancient Town still preserves the traditional residential buildings in the Jiangnan region. Xuntang Ancient Town is an epitome of Jiangnan water towns with winding streams, elegant bridges, and small stores on both sides of stone paths. Dangkou Ancient Town is famous for its culture of piety passed down from the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25-220).
