Schneider Electric laid a foundation for its green smart industrial park in Wuxi New District, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 27.
With a combined investment of $150 million, the industrial park is located in WND's China – EU Industrial Innovation Zone. To be constructed in two phases, the first phase will be a new-generation super factory with a high level of digitalization and will integrate production, marketing and R&D. It will be put into use in 2025.

Schneider Electric is a global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation. Over the past 20 years in Wuxi, it has built its only Chinese electronic capability manufacturing center and its first world-class advanced lighthouse factory.
The green smart industrial park is expected to continue expanding Schneider Electric Wuxi base's advantage in electronic capability manufacturing and become a comprehensive experience center for the company's sustainable development concept and solutions.

Europe is an important source of WND's foreign investment and as of last year European investors have registered a combined 166 companies with a combined investment of 15 billion euros ($16.52 billion).
The China – EU Industrial Innovation Zone in WND focuses on introducing European projects with cutting-edge technologies and involving high-end and green and low carbon industries. It aims to be energy-saving and environmentally friendly.
