The 2024 Taihu Bay Future Healthcare Conference was held in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on May 10.
The event includes a main summit, nearly 50 meetings, an exhibition, competitions, and roadshows, gathering high-end resources related to healthcare from home and abroad.

Du Xiaogang, Party secretary of Wuxi, thanked attendees for their long-term support for Wuxi's development, noting that the healthcare industry is a booming emerging industry and an important domain for developing new quality productive forces.
Wuxi has, in recent years, treated the biomedicine industry as one of its landmark industries, and the city's healthcare industry boasts robust development momentum, improving innovation capabilities, and a developing service system, Du added.
He expressed hope that attendees will make full use of Wuxi's edge in biomedicine and digital economy to form landmark industrial clusters, promote the industrialization of new innovations, and cultivate more new business forms and models.

Zhang Xinmin, director of the China National Center for Biotechnology Development, said that he expects Wuxi will play a more significant role in the development of healthcare and contribute more to the building of a Healthy China.
The main summit witnessed the inauguration of the basic medical research innovation center for enteric microecology and chronic diseases and the engineering research center for intelligent technologies in rehabilitation under the Ministry of Education and the establishment of the Wuxi Biomedicine Industry Advisory Committee.
The Green Energy Transformation Initiative for the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industrial Chains was also published, and a signing ceremony for 18 projects was held on the same day.
The first Taihu Bay Biomedicine Industry Expo also kicked off during the event, attracting over 60 renowned enterprises from home and abroad, including AstraZeneca and GE Healthcare.
