An oil painting exhibition on the urban landscape of Wuxi in Jiangsu province opened at the China Cultural Center in Paris, France, on May 21 and will run until May 30.
The nearly 120 artworks on display were created by 19 renowned Chinese oil painters during their visit to Wuxi in March this year. These works showcase the city's historic sites and natural scenery, including Taihu Yuantouzhu scenic area, Huishan Ancient Town, and Plum Garden.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. The exhibition is meant to share Wuxi's beautiful landscapes and culture with French people and immerse visitors in the serene Jiangnan city.
A variety of other cultural activities centering on Wuxi will be held over the following days in Paris.
