Wuxi boasts close cooperation and frequent exchanges with CBBC and HSBC. Du expressed hopes that all parties will take the meeting as an opportunity to establish mechanisms for regular communication and to serve enterprises visiting Wuxi.
He also noted that they can seek more communication channels and cooperation opportunities through informal talks and project matchmaking meetings.
Sir Sherard Louis Cowper-Coles claimed that CBBC has long been dedicated to promoting the development of UK-China relations. This is the first time many of the visiting UK enterprises have sought investment and cooperation opportunities in China, he explained.
The chairman also expects UK enterprises to reach more cooperation intentions with Wuxi and pledged to mobilize more British-funded enterprises to develop in the city.
The UK delegation communicated with local pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca, as well as venture capital companies and law firms and learnt about the development of British-funded enterprises in the city and about the Wuxi International Life Science Innovation Campus (I•Campus).
