The 2024 Taihu Art Festival and 23rd China Shanghai International Arts Festival are set to commence in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, in late September, according to a press conference held on Sept 23.
Over the course of more than two months, local residents will be treated to over 120 cultural performances, exhibitions, and other activities, including 53 stage shows and 23 exhibitions.

The 53 stage shows involve dance dramas, straight plays, symphonies, music dramas, and opera shows.
Chinese dance drama 10,909, which pays tribute to the researchers of China's new deep-sea manned submersible Fendouzhe, or Striver, will serve as the opening performance of the art festival and is scheduled to be performed at the Wuxi Grand Theatre on Oct 9.

Alongside the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra and Wuxi Chinese Orchestra, a selection of globally acclaimed musicians and art troupes from multiple countries including the United States, Germany, and France will grace the art festival with their performances.
