Wind power sector surges in Rudong county

The wind power sector is surging in Rudong county, administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province.

According to the county's development and reform commission, from January to September the wind power sector and its associated equipment industries generated 50 billion yuan ($7.8 billion) in taxable sales, up 95 percent over the same period last year.

Rudong is currently home to the operations of 77 companies engaged in wind power equipment production, installation, testing and maintenance. The nation's largest specialized wind power equipment production hub is on the rise. [Photo/ntfabu.com]
