Rudong's Xiaoyangkou Resort rings in Chinese New Year with carnival
Xiaoyangkou Resort in Rudong county is set to host a carnival from Jan 29 to Feb 2 (the first to the fifth day of Chinese New Year), featuring dazzling festivities such as fireworks shows, performances, gourmet food, parades, and floral exhibitions to celebrate the holiday.

Every evening at 7:30 pm, the night sky over Xiaoyangkou is set to be illuminated by a spectacular fireworks display, bringing visitors a lively and festive atmosphere.
From 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm and 6:50 pm to 7:20 pm every day, the dance troupe from Kezilesu Kirgiz autonomous prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region is set to present captivating performances. Highlights include live renditions of The Epic of Manas (a UNESCO world intangible cultural heritage), a bonfire party, delicacies, and handmade crafts. Visitors can join in the dancing and singing to celebrate Chinese New Year.
From 9:30 am to 11:00 am and 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm daily, a themed parade adorned with icy decorations, whimsical characters, and imaginative designs is expected to bring joy and excitement to the crowd.
On Peach Blossom Island, dragon and lion dances and adorable cartoon mascots are anticipated to spread blessings to visitors from 11:00 am to 11:20 am and 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm each day. A stunning floral exhibition will also provide a touch of spring beauty to welcome the new year.
The resort is also set to offer an array of delightful attractions, including Xinjiang specialties, food trucks, children's games, and a fortune wheel, ensuring endless fun for visitors of all ages.
