To enhance recreational options for residents, Nantong's Chongchuan district completed four new leisure parks last year, bringing the total number to 11—the most among all districts and counties in Nantong.

One highlight is the National Security-Themed Park, located in the Guiyu Jiangnan residential community. Covering an L-shaped space of about 10,000 square meters, it is the first national security-themed park in Nantong's main urban area.

Designed with nearby communities and schools in mind, the park caters to children, the elderly, and other groups with features focused on fitness, sightseeing, and education. It also offers themed spaces tailored to various activities.

Another notable addition is the Xiaoxi Road Sports Park, situated at the southeast corner of Jiaoyu Road and Xiaoxi Road. Spanning 13,300 square meters, the park bridges the 20-meter-wide Baoguo River. It includes four gateball courts, a soccer field, and fitness trails, complemented by scenic landscaping. The park features tree groves made of diverse species and vibrant flowers to create an inviting and dynamic atmosphere for exercise and relaxation.

The leisure park concept was introduced by Jiangsu province in 2022 to promote urban greening and management. These parks aim to provide accessible, green spaces for rest, socializing, and fitness, enhancing residents' quality of life.
