The graduation works exhibition of the second edition of Nantong University's training session in simulation embroidery was recently held at the Nantong Modern Art Museum.

The exhibition showcased over 40 works created by 21 students after two months of training under the guidance of mentors such as Jin Leilei, a representative practitioner of simulation embroidery, a national intangible cultural heritage item.

The exhibited works finely replicated traditional classic patterns and presented innovative expressions inspired by contemporary life, demonstrating the young generation's unique understanding and breakthrough attempts in the craft.

Nantong simulation embroidery is renowned for its delicate technique of "using needles as pens and threads as ink". Through concentrated training, these young practitioners have mastered the essence of traditional embroidery techniques while integrating modern art design concepts.

Since 2023, NTU has conducted the simulation embroidery training program for two consecutive years, nurturing over 40 outstanding embroiderers to reserve talents for the intangible cultural heritage item.

This exhibition will continue until the end of this month.
