Surge of volunteer activities emerge in Chongchuan
To usher in the annual "Learn from Lei Feng Day", Chongchuan district in Nantong has witnessed a surge in volunteer activities.
A group of 10 international students from Nantong University launched a cross-border charity campaign outside the Nantong Museum on March 2. They provided free medical check-ups and promoted waste sorting, bursting with excitement in public service.

Moreover, multiple neighborhoods organized community service events, including free haircuts, legal consultations, and blood pressure checks on Feb 28.

March 5 is "Learn from Lei Feng Day", a day designated to honor the legacy of Lei Feng, a soldier renowned in China for his generosity and altruistic deeds.
In recent years, Chongchuan has carried out various volunteer service activities. The district has 318 registered volunteer service organizations and more than 150,500 active volunteers.
