Lingnan section of Xiangshan Lake Park comes alive
The second phase of Xiangshan Lake Park is open daily with thriving nature in classic settings from 8:30 am to 6 pm as 90 staff members continuously patrol to disperse large gatherings.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, visitors are also subject to body temperature checks and health QR code scans at the five entrances. Public notices across the park provide anti-epidemic information. Meanwhile, toilets, trash bins, sewers, handrails, and doorknobs are disinfected four times daily.
Visitors are greeted by a fountain more than 20 m (66 ft) tall at the entrance from the first phase. Although some landscape features are being touched up, fish, ducks, graylag geese, and black swans thrive in green waters along the winding walkway set against a background of verdant mountains.
A signature hexagonal double-eave pavilion is a hallmark of Lingnan-styled (Cantonese) terraces, covered bridges, and a waterside pavilion.

On a hill is a heart-shaped floral display of amaranth bougainvillea glabra (paperflower), 4,000 sq m (4,784 sq yd) of daisy-like coreopsis and sunflowers, and lakeside groves of Japanese banana and lychee trees.
At the far end of the park, visitors can rest at the hexagonal pavilion nearby a natural waterfall rushes a dozen meters down Fenghuang Mt.
Located off Jianmin Road, north of West Meihua Road and east of Zhuhai Number 1 High School in New Xiangzhou, Phase I of the park opened to the public on Jan 1, 2019 with a tourist service center, bicycle lane and footpath, lotus pond, covered corridor, entertainment-oriented docks, and bars.
