The first eight double-decker sightseeing buses started scheduled visits to more than a dozen attractive scenic spots along Lovers Avenue on Sept 26.

The express line, "Lovers Avenue – Impression of Zhuhai," leaves Gongbei Checkpoint Bus Terminal every 30 minutes from 9 am to 9 pm.

Stops en route include Gongbei Pedestrian Street (Lianhua Lu), Gongbei Bay, Best Place for Lovers to Hold Hands (a photo-taking spot across from the south entrance of Zhuhai Holiday Resort Hotel off South Lovers Avenue), Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port, Jiuzhou Port, Jiuzhou Bay, Love Post Office at Haibin Beach, Fisher Maiden, City Balcony, Xianglu Bay, Zhuhai Opera House on Yeli Island, Xiangzhou Bay, and Sea & Sky (Haitian) Park.

Passengers may board at Hi City Square in front of Zhuhai Opera House or HZMB Zhuhai Port, for instance, and swipe their bus card/Zhu Hai Tong QR code. Tickets can also be brought on WeChat account zhggbus. Each ride cost 5 yuan (73 cents) during the promotional period. Those day passes can take the bus anytime within 24 hours after the first swipe, and the promotional ticket price is 15 yuan ($2). Student and senior cards cannot be used for the sightseeing bus.

Each bus has its own theme -- Great Rivers & Mountains, Island Scenery, Family Amusement Park Tours, Cartoon Gallery, Romantic, Ice & Snow World, Cantonese Quyi (a traditional folk art of ballads, storytelling, comic dialogue performances, and crosstalk), and Underwater World. Passenger can acquire their locations by WeChat account and choose their favorite. On offer are virtual-reality experiences of islands and undersea worlds, as well as multilingual introductions via wireless headsets at each visit site.

Moreover, the buses also have panoramic sunroofs, 5G Wi-Fi, self-service drink vending machines, portable chargers, and touch screens with scenic spot introduction maps and videos. Souvenirs and specialties are displayed, and purchases can be ordered at an online shopping mall on WeChat account zhggbus.

More sightseeing routes, such as the Jinding-Tangjia Red (Revolutionary) Battlefield and Hengqin Entertainment Camp, will be opened by Zhuhai Public Transportation Group in the future.
