Premium Huafa spa resort proposed on Dong'ao Island
Zhuhai Huafa Island Investment & Development will construct stand-alone and standard guestrooms, a spa, and reception center to form yet another luxury seaside resort -- the Huafa Dong'ao Hotel -- on Dong'ao Island.
The Zhuhai Public Resource Trading Center just announced that a Lingnan (Cantonese) architectural style will be used in harmony with island scenery and local culture. The site encompasses 71,503 sqm (18 acres) including plant life on rocky mountainous slopes on the east side of the island.
Highlighting international high-end ecological tourism, the premium Gree Dong'ao Hotel and Kaisa Kare Resort lead the list of hotels already on the island. Next in line are upscale Marriot and Hyatt Alila hotels as part of the second phase of what is called the Lingding Seashore project.
One of Zhuhai's 10 most prominent islands, Dong'ao is in the center of the Wanshan Archipelago. The island has an amiable climate, pristine natural ecology of towering trees, lush mountains, green waters, and beaches at Nansha, Dazhu, and Xiaozhu bays.
