Jinwan parks create landscape in harmony with nature
A network of urban leisure, suburban forest, and wetland parks has taken form in Jinwan District, encompassing mountains, waters, seas, rivers, and islands.
Jinwan's largest civic park – Jinhu – is being developed in the former West Lake Wetlands in eastern Aviation New Town near Golden Gulf Golf Club. The east entrance square is adorned with flower fields, an arboreal forest, and several crane-shaped trees. From there, visitors can take in scenes of a lake kissed by sunset at dusk. Multiple species of waterfowls including egrets can be seen foraging along the 1.6-km (1-mile) coastline.
In the next phase, islands within the park will be connected by trestles leading to ecological science sites, vegetable and fruit plantings, and waterside leisure activities and sightseeing spots.

Three km (1.86 miles) away is the tranquil Central River Wetland Park south of Jinhe Avenue near the Jinwan District Library and upcoming Huafa Mall. It beckons visitors with flowers, wetland vegetation, ecological trestles, a sightseeing tower, and birdwatching pavilion.
The 130,000-sqm (32-acre) park is of Sponge City design with connected scattered waters, a plant buffer zone and ditches, rainwater gardens, and ponds to absorb downpours and prevent flooding.
Surrounded by residential communities and business circles between Jinshan and Jinfan avenues in the core area of Aviation New Town is the 100,000-sq-m (25-acre) Jinshan Park. The first Sponge Park in Zhuhai has a 30,000-sqm (7-acre) central lawn for leisure activities, camping, and rainwater absorption. Highlighted are amusement facilities for children of different ages.
Moreover, Jinwan's 6.4-km (4-mile) Lovers Avenue (East Airport Road) has footpaths, sea-view trestles, children's amusement grounds, sports facilities, unmanned aerial vehicle exhibitions, and reading areas.
