Yinhua Tunnel opens to traffic; feeders, overpass construction underway
Yinhua Tunnel leading East Renmin Road under Xingye Road in New Xiangzhou opened to traffic Jan 2, ahead of road paving for feeders that connect Xingye Road and a pedestrian overpass near the Gongshang Building.

The two-way four-lane tunnel eliminates traffic lights and relieves east-west traffic pressure during rush hours. For now, though, part of Xingye Road will be closed due to the construction of the feeders till August. A future south-north entrance-exit ramp of Xingye Express is also under construction near the Zhuhai Women's & Children's Hospital (North Campus).
Once the feeders are completed, motorists will turn left or right to access North Campus of the Zhuhai Women's & Children's Hospital or Xianghua Primary School off Xingye Road from East Renmin Road.
Meanwhile, traffic lights and zebra crossings near the Gongshang Building are still in use before the pedestrian overpass comes into operation. Temporary dual three-lane access roads have been open since Jan 1.
