Sports supporting facilities are being optimized throughout the city under the Implementation Plan on Fitness for All in Zhuhai (2021-25), with new projects in Xiangzhou, the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Jinwan, and Doumen undergoing the pre-approval publicity stage before starting construction. 

The plan states that Zhuhai will have a per capital sports land area of over 3 sqm (32 sqft) by 2025, with an estimated permanent resident population of 3 million. The city also aims to have no less than 1.1 football venues per 10,000 people and 10-minute fitness circles available by 2025.

Xiangzhou Sports Center in Nanping Sci-Tech Ecocity is located north of Zhuhai Avenue and west of Middle Pinggong Road. Its project proposal, feasibility research, mapping, and land lot preliminary approval stages have already been completed.

The 40,000-sqm (9.8-acre) Zhengfang Riverside Sports Park, constructed by Zhengfang Group, is located east of Shiye Road and north of North Yanhe Road in Xiangzhou. It is separated into two parts on both sides of the Nanping Bridge. The 21,000-sqm (5.2-acre) S1 land lot will have two one-story stadiums and the 20,000-sqm (4.9-acre) S2 land lot will be mainly used for an outdoor sports park. Upon operation, the park will bring one more ideal place for people living in the Qianshan and Nanping areas to exercise.

The 13,683.22-sqm (3.4-acre) Jiangjun Mt Stadium, constructed by Huafa Real Industry Investment Holding, will finish construction before March 2023. Boasting an investment of 41.03 million yuan ($5.93 million), it will bring a modern sports training venue, badminton gyms, and complex buildings to the Gongbei area. 

In Jinwan District, a 300,000-sqm (74-acre) sports center will be built on the north side of Hubin Road and west of Shuanghu Road.

Another project in Doumen is the Baiteng Sports Center located on the east side of Jinhu Road and north of Hongxin Road. It will have a main venue and a sub venue with nearly 4,000 seats, making it able to undertake national indoor single tournaments. 

As of now, Zhuhai has two large-scale sports centers, each in New Xiangzhou and Doumen District. The 700,000-sqm (173-acre) Zhuhai Sports Center off Hongshan Road started a renovation project in October 2020. Upon its completion in 2023, a national fitness-for-all complex will rise on the area of a former shooting range, old basketball courts, and parking lots.
