The students were members of the Critical Language Scholarship Program, a summer overseas language and cultural immersion program fully funded by the US Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs targeting native college students.
The embroidery experience day was part of their eight-week Chinese cultural immersion program. The program began on June 3 and gained full support from Soochow University, a prestigious local school.
