The 11th China Embroidery Culture and Arts Festival will open in Suzhou, Jiangsu province on April 18.

As an annual cultural extravaganza in Suzhou New District, the event aims to promote Su Embroidery, one of the oldest embroidery techniques with a history dating back over 2,500 years.

Famous designers from around the world will gather at the festival to discuss how to innovate using the traditional craft, and further boost the industry.
