Embroidery Works Street is located in Zhenhu community of Suzhou New District. It was built in 1998, with a total length of 1,700 meters. It connects Suzhou Taihu Lake National Wetland Park in the south and the Taihu Lake in the north.
Buildings along the street are in the style of ancient Chinese architecture. There are more than 400 stores in the street, dealing with a variety of embroidery works.
It receives about 500,000 tourists every year. The total sales volume of embroidery works reached 1.3 billion yuan ($206.83 million) in 2015.
The street is also one of the largest manufacturing and sale bases of embroidery works in China. The products are sold around the country and exported to Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States.
