Longwan in a decade: Improving people's quality of life
The GDP of Longwan district in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province has doubled since 2012 to 79.38 billion yuan ($11.19 billion) in 2021, and along with the economic progress, tremendous changes have also taken place in people's daily lives.

Commercial hub
Ten years ago, Longwan was still a scarcely populated area with blocks of industrial buildings but no core commercial area.
The Wanda Plaza, which opened in November 2012 after only 20 months of construction, changed this. It was the city's first large commercial complex and people flocked from all sides of the city, filling the surrounding streets and corners.
As every city needs a commercial complex to push it toward modernization and globalization, the Wanda Plaza has played this role by not only helping Longwan improve its image, but also creating a better environment for future development.
