Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co Ltd (Yili Group) was selected among the Excellent Cases of Enterprise Poverty Alleviation", as announced at the Research Report on Poverty Alleviation of Chinese Enterprise 2020 Press Conference and Enterprise Targeted Poverty Alleviation Summit Forum which was held in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, on Sept 18.

This marks the third time that Yili Group has been selected for the list, standing out from some 100 domestic enterprises in terms of accuracy, effectiveness, innovation, sustainability and reproducibility. 

Yili joins industrial chain suppliers to purchase silage in Dayang village, Tumd Left Banner, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. In 2019, Yili cooperated with industrial chain suppliers to purchase 30,468 tons of silage, generating an income of approximately 10 million yuan ($1.48 million) for farmers in 10 villages including Dayang village. Over the years, Yili Group has gradually explored a targeted poverty alleviation model for industrial bases, combined with the industrial characteristics of poverty-stricken areas, and helped lift poor people out of poverty through the development of planting and breeding industries. At the same time, Yili has actively carried out educational poverty alleviation and employment support.

For many years, Yili Group has focused on the industrial layout in poor areas. In 2020, Yili started the construction of a number of industrial cluster projects in Hulunbuir, Hinggan League, Bayannuur, Tongliao, and Ulaanqab, injecting new vitality into the fight against poverty.
