Hohhot airport adds new international terminal
A newly-built international terminal was officially opened on Dec 12 at Hohhot Baita International Airport in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to local media reports.
The international terminal, one of the autonomous region's key projects, has a construction area of 8,500 square meters and is built over two floors.
The first floor includes the international entry and exit hall, the international entry and exit joint inspection channel, the domestic terminal and boarding gate for international passengers, and the baggage claim hall.
The second floor contains the international departure lounge and boarding gate, the international arrival isolation corridor, and duty-free shops.
The opening of the new international terminal provides safer and more convenient conditions for the current guarantee of international flight diversions and improves the service level of the airport.
