New coach terminal starts operating in Hohhot
The Hohhot East Passenger Terminal in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, officially started operating on Sept 1, reports Hohhot Daily.
The Hohhot East Passenger Terminal is one of the 45 main coach terminals planned by the Ministry of Transport.
The project covers an area of 60,654 square meters, with a total construction area of 46,471 square meters, and a maximum daily carrying capacity of up to about 4,000 people.
With the launch of the coach terminal, a multi-dimensional integrated transportation hub system integrating rails, buses, taxis, passenger shuttles, tourist passenger transport, and car rentals is slated to be developed in Hohhot.
The passenger terminal has set up coach ticket offices and waiting rooms, parking lots, a departure channel, security inspection channel and other functional areas.
On the premise that the original departure sequence and departure schedule remain unchanged, the passenger terminal organizes for more than 150 passenger vehicles to enter the station, involving more than 40 lines running east and west.
