The first group of four production lines in the first phase of a key demonstration project being operated by dairy giant Yili officially started operating on Jan 29 in Hinggan League, located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The project is called the "5G+Industrial Internet Platform" Demonstration Project of Applying Intelligent Manufacturing New Technology.
It is being developed by Inner Mongolia Hinggan Yili Dairy Co, to mainly produce high-end products such as Yili Jindian dairy products. The annual output is expected to reach 100,000 metric tons of dairy products, which will also help drive the development of seven large-scale pastures in Hinggan League.

The project is one of the dairy industry cluster projects being invested by Yili Group in Inner Mongolia.
It is the third Yili dairy industry cluster project put into production in the autonomous region – following the Hulunbuir Yili Green Intelligent High-end Organic Dairy Demonstration Project and the Yili Global Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park – in Yili Future Intelligence and Health Valley.
The construction of the second phase of the Hinggan League's Yili project is now on the agenda. After the project is fully completed and put into operation, it will generate a daily output of 1,500 tons of milk. It is also expected to stimulate local planting, breeding, feed processing, dairy processing, logistics, packaging and other auxiliary industries.
