Yili tops dairy sector in social responsibility index for 6 consecutive years

On Nov 16, Yili Group achieved significant recognition by releasing its top 10 ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) cases of 2023 and securing first place in the dairy industry in the 2023 China Corporate Social Responsibility Development Index. This index is part of the Blue Book of Corporate Social Responsibility 2023 by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that Yili has received this prestigious recognition.

Yili, along with representatives from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and central enterprises, jointly launched the Top 10 ESG Research Topics in China (2024).

The Blue Book of Corporate Social Responsibility 2023, compiled by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, is considered an authoritative and influential evaluation in the field of corporate social responsibility. Yili's consistent recognition underscores its commitment to ESG principles and its leadership in the industry.

As an industry leader, Yili has taken various initiatives to address environmental concerns, including exploring new carbon reduction production capacities, obtaining water footprint certification for four factories and two products, establishing five zero-carbon factories, launching five zero-carbon products, and securing six low-carbon group standards. Additionally, 31 factories have been awarded the national-level "Green Factory" title.

Yili Ambpomial's long-term aid plan for farmers has extended to three industrial belts in Guangdong's Xuwen, Sichuan's Panzhihua, and Jilin's Tonghua. A total of 170 small and micro-sized business owners and cooperative backbone personnel have been trained, helping 1,064 industry practitioners increase their income, with cumulative sales reaching 800,000 yuan ($110,438).
