In 2023, the number of registered scientific and technological achievements in Hohhot has seen a remarkable surge, with 123 items registered, marking an 86.36-percent and 28.13-percent increase compared to 2021 and 2022, respectively.

This upward trend reflects a consistent annual growth in registered scientific and technological achievements.

Among the registered achievements in 2023, approximately 97.56 percent were in the applied technology category. Additionally, of the total achievements, 30.89 percent were involved in national plans, local plans, departmental plans, local funds, and departmental funds.

In terms of industry distribution, the manufacturing sector led with 32 achievements, representing 26.67 percent of the total applied technology achievements. Following closely was the information transmission, software, and information technology services sector, with 29 achievements, constituting 24.17 percent of the total in the applied technology category.

Looking ahead, Hohhot plans to intensify the formulation and implementation of scientific and technological incentive policies, actively promote the reform of its scientific and technological achievement evaluation system, and strengthen the management of its scientific and technological achievements. It also aims to improve the standards for evaluating scientific and technological achievements.
