Hohhot has been listed in the 2024 Top 100 Cities for Digital Economy, ranking 43rd nationwide and maintaining its position as the leader in Inner Mongolia for the fifth consecutive year. The announcement comes from the 2024 China Urban Digital Economy Development Report published by CCID Consulting.
Hohhot boasts a total computing power of 44,000 petaflops and is projected to reach 84,000 petaflops by 2025. The city has actively nurtured its green computing and artificial intelligence industries through its policy support, strategic location, cost-effectiveness, and access to green electricity. It has attracted key data centers and numerous upstream and downstream enterprises, including major players like ArcherMind Technology Co and xFusion.
Significant projects, such as ArcherMind Technology Co's first indigenous computing device production line and Inner Mongolia Mengma Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Co's intelligent transportation equipment manufacturing base, were recently inaugurated in Horinger New Area. These initiatives have filled gaps in local production and accelerated the development of Hohhot's digital economy.
By fostering a collaborative industrial ecosystem, Hohhot is rapidly advancing its next-generation information technology industry. Focusing on green computing and AI, it aims to establish itself as a nationally influential digital industry hub.
