Dazzling lantern show lights up Chinese New Year in Hohhot

On the evening of Jan 22, the 2025 Spring Festival Lantern Show in Yuquan district, Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, officially opened to the public.
Spanning 2.2 kilometers along the Zhaojun Road Bridge to Xilin Road Bridge, the exhibition features over 8,000 intricately designed lanterns.

The show celebrates traditional Chinese culture by blending time-honored heritage with modern technology. Five themed installations – "Zhaojun Chusai" "Fusheng Ruomeng" "Yanyun Huanjing" "Jinyu Mantang" and "Niannian Youyu" – create a stunning visual experience.
Amid the vibrant lights, the joyful atmosphere of Spring Festival merges harmoniously with the rich essence of traditional culture, offering visitors a unique and memorable celebration of Chinese New Year.
