Hohhot to renovate 272 residential communities
Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, plans to renovate 272 old residential communities in 2025, benefiting 53,424 households.
The renovation is categorized into three main types: basic, improvement, and enhancement.
Basic renovations focus on repairing essential infrastructure such as water, electricity, gas, heating, roads, and public areas of buildings.
Improvement efforts aim to enhance community amenities, including greenery, lighting, fitness equipment, and parking spaces, to improve the quality of life.
Enhancement projects prioritize the introduction of community services such as elderly care, childcare, meal assistance, and convenient markets to strengthen comprehensive community services.
All banners, counties, and districts will complete preliminary procedures, including project approval and feasibility studies, in March. The bidding process will be completed and construction will commence in April, with the entire project expected to be finished by the end of September.
