Construction of Shengle International Airport began in July 2020, and the calibration flight was completed on Oct 5 in 2025. The airport is designed to handle 28 million passengers, 320,000 metric tons of cargo and mail, and 244,000 aircraft movements by 2030. It includes a terminal building covering 320,000 square meters and two parallel runways spaced 2 kilometers apart.
The test flight was conducted by Air China and took approximately 500 minutes. The verification showed that all indicators at Shengle International Airport were normal and met industry standards.
