Print PrintIn recent years, Yutai county in Jining has begun a transformative journey towards rural vitalization by developing embankment economies, promoting smart farming, and establishing specialized agricultural zones.
Known for its unique agricultural products, Yutai proudly boasts premium nectarines that are distinguished by their pleasing aroma and sweet taste. The "Yucheng Nectarine" brand earned a National Geographic Indication Trademark in 2021.
The county then doubled-down on its commitment to sustainable development by planting peach trees along the banks of seven restored waterways. This move has not only enriched the local ecology and optimized land use, but it also augmented farmers' incomes.

In the realm of smart agriculture, Wanglu town's standardized blueberry plantation has set a benchmark. Across its 3.33-hectare area, state-of-the-art greenhouses employ flexible temperature control and drip-irrigation systems abetted by sensors that persistently monitor soil moisture and temperature, all of which enable rigorous scientific management. A dedicated water treatment center also helps to uphold ideal nurturing conditions for the blueberries, which contributes to healthy blueberry growth and provides a distinct price edge.

Yutai has further broadened its industrial landscape by fostering modern agricultural parks. The Yucheng Town Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, sprawling over approximately 11.07 hectares, hosts 40 high-grade greenhouses. These facilities yield a diverse range of fruits, including dragon fruit, melons, and watermelons, under a model that leverages collective construction and leases to non-local entities. Consequently, this approach has been instrumental in securing steady rental income for communities and farmers alike. More importantly, it has facilitated consistent employment opportunities for more than 200 local residents.
