The first airplane through financial leasing was successfully settled in Xiamen Airlines.

On June 10, one Boeing 737-800 passenger plane landed at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. By means of finance lease, this plane is the first to be introduced by SPV Project Co, which was established by CMB Financial Leasing at Xiangyu Bonded Area. It means that Xiamen made a breakthrough in airplane finance lease. Also, Xiangyu Bonded Area became the third area specially supervised by Customs for airplane finance lease after Tianjin Dongjiang Bonded Area and Shanghai Free Trade Zone in China.

As part of boosting the construction of a free trade zone, Xiamen tries to finish the existing projects first, in order to push forward innovation and breakthroughs in the specific projects. Meanwhile, airplane finance lease is adopted as one of the breakthrough points, to successfully facilitate the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Xiangyu Bonded Area and CMB & ICBC through the close coordination and support of related departments. In addition, SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) Financial Leasing Co is established at Xiangyu Bonded Area.

In the next stage, Xiamen will cooperate with local and Taiwan financial leasing companies through the special policy functions such as "Outside the Customs and Within the Boundary" and "Bonded, Tax Exemption and Export Rebates," to branch out in financial leasing and financial channels for small and medium enterprises as well as spare no efforts to improve the industrial form and leading role of Xiamen, in order to establish the regional financial leasing nesting zone.
