Commercial bureau stresses production safety
The Party group of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce held a meeting to study General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions on production safety and to study the production safety of Xiamen’s commerce and trade industry on August 19.
The importance of safety production should be fully understood. Under the principle that the Party and government institutions have the same responsibilities, the Party group should hold at least one meeting on production safety every year.
A leading group for production safety under the bureau will be established. Production safety responsibility of each office will be defined in order to supervise and guide production safety within the scope of work.

In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
