The 7th cross-Straits (Xiamen) culture industry expo will be held from Oct 24 to 27 in Xiamen, a beautiful coastal city in southern China.

The 7th culture industry will feature the cross-Straits relationship, industry, investment, and trade, and continue the theme of creativeness, said Lin Jinchuan, the head of Xiamen’s Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio-Film-Television, Press & Publication.

Li Mingfang, the chief inspector of Asia-Pacific Cultural Creative Industry Association, said that the expo will invite Taiwan’s top masters of industrial arts to show off the essence of Taiwan’s craft aesthetics, and representatives from high schools to display fashionable creative designs.

Li Shandan, especially, a well-known Taiwan artist, will also present at the expo, bringing a series of paintings of super racing cars.

"You will find how amazing the cars are at the expo!”Li said.

Taiwan’s artists will display some distinctive work at the expo such as an artistic re-creation of recycled aluminum cans and arts from Taipei's National Palace Museum.

Another highlight of the expo is Taiwan’s cultural and creative industry exhibition, including a shopping festival, which can meet visitors’ demand for Taiwan’s local products.

Chen Zhu, Deputy Director of Fujian Provincial Department of Culture, said that the expo has invited 21 cities of Taiwan to display theme exhibitions this year, and 16 of the 21 have resigned to join the event.

This will be the largest Taiwan cultural and creative themed exhibition in mainland China ever. Also, the exhibition booths for Taiwan’s cultural and creative enterprises will make up one third of the 2,444 booths.

Since its establishment in 2007, the expo has become a grand session for cross-Straits cultural exchanges, and the largest cultural industry trade platform which includes the most Taiwan exhibitors.
