The Fujian provincial Government will roll out more financial incentives for industries involved in cultural creation and design.

For enterprises engaged in industrial design, arts design, architectural design and software design – which paid at least one million yuan ($163,000) in tax more than the previous year, the government will reward them with the equivalent of 50 percent of the tax increment.

Those registered with 0.5 to 1 million-yuan year-on-year tax payment growth, and those with less than 0.5 million yuan, will get a subsidy of 60 percent and 70 percent of the tax increment, respectively.

The cap on the financial reward is set at 2 million yuan for a qualified firm. And the mechanism is valid for five years.

Key enterprises in manufacturing are encouraged to jointly build industrial design centers with colleges, scientific institutions and professional design agencies. And an industrial design center which wins national and provincial recognition will receive prize money of 800,000 yuan and 500,000 yuan, respectively.

Newly established cultural creation and design enterprises will get 5 to 8 percent equivalent of their registered capital, with a cap of one million yuan. They will also enjoy a variety of incentives such as lower rents, tax revenue returns and lower fees generated from administrative procedures.
