Passenger transport venture under consideration in Fujian

A large-scale enterprise in charge of long-distance passenger transportation in Fujian province is being considered, Southeast Express reported.

The Fujian Minyun Long-distance Passenger Transportation Co Ltd, or Fujian Changyun, will be responsible for perfecting transport resources across the province and streamlining management of long-distance vehicles, said the newspaper.

The venture will involve current transport companies as share holders and set up branches in all nine prefectural-level cities in the province.

There are 96 Class One and Class Two bus stations in Fujian, and some 1,000 buses operating routes of 800 kilometers or more, covering 28 provinces and municipalities in the county, figures show.
