Fujian stresses construction site security
The housing and urban construction authority announced on Jan 5 that it will carry out a full-scale inspection of security measures at all construction sites across the province.
Construction site managers are urged to overhaul structures that have safety risks by Feb 3, two days before the local authority is due to conduct inspections.
Deep foundation pits, scaffolds, formwork and hoisting machinery will be the focus of the inspection.
Enterprises and projects that fail to meet basic security standards will be put on a black list and face punishments, the authorities said.
