Xiamen residents spend average RMB 9,103 on eating & drinking in 2014

The Xiamen Investigation Team of the National Statistics Bureau revealed the data of per capita consumption expenditure of Xiamen’s urban and rural residents in 2014, indicating the average annual cost of eating and drinking reached RMB 9,103 per urban citizen in Xiamen in 2014.

According to the report, the per capita annual consumption expenditure of Xiamen’s urban residents reached RMB 27,402 in 2014, up 6.3% by RMB 1,625 compared with the same period of the previous year. Xiamen’s per capita annual disposable income of urban residents in 2014 reached RMB 39,625, averaging RMB 3,302 per month.

In 2014, Xiamen’s urban residents’ average annual cost on food, living, transportation & communication, education & culture & entertainment, clothing, daily articles & services, medical & health, and other items & services reached RMB 9,103, RMB 7,110, RMB 3,723, RMB 2,637, RMB 1,597, RMB 1,385, RMB 1,108, and RMB 738, respectively.

Besides, per capita annual consumption expenditure of Xiamen’s rural residents reached RMB 14,142, up 11.0% by RMB 1,397 compared with the same period of the previous year. The per capita annual disposable income of rural residents in 2014 reached RMB 16,220, averaging RMB 1,351 per month.
