Xiamen Airlines ranks 1st in Chinese mainland airlines

Xiamen Airlines won the title of the Chinese mainland’s best airline in Q4, 2014, according to a report issued by World Civil Aviation Resource Net, a large civil aviation web site in China, on Jan 20.

It is the tenth time for Xiamen Airlines to win the title, after leading in three categories of passenger satisfaction, in-flight service and ground service in Q4, 2014.

Sichuan Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Shandong Airlines, and Air China took other places among the top five airlines in the Chinese mainland in Q4, 2014.

The assessment group collected a total of 40,953 questionnaires, covering 196 China domestic and international airlines. They screened out airlines with fewer than 100 passenger feedbacks, and ranked 12 Chinese mainland airlines, according to 11,531 valid votes.

The top five of the 12 airlines are as follows:

China's Best Airlines for Passenger Satisfaction in Q4 2014:

1. Xiamen Airlines (4.01)

2. Sichuan Airlines (3.91)

3. Hainan Airlines (3.91)

4. Shandong Airlines (3.86)

5. Air China (3.84)

China's Best Airlines for In-Flight Service in Q4 2014:

1. Xiamen Airlines (3.98)

2. Sichuan Airlines (3.89)

3. Hainan Airlines (3.88)

4. Air China (3.79)

5. Shandong Airlines (3.78)

China's Best Airlines for Ground Service in Q4 2014:

1. Xiamen Airlines (4.11)

2. Shandong Airlines (4.10)

3. China Southern Airlines (4.07)

4. Shanghai Airlines (4.07)

5. Tianjin Airlines (4.07)

Five regional and international airlines - Cathay Pacific Airways, Dragonair, Hong Kong Airlines, China Airlines and Thai AirAsia were also included in the report. The ranking is as follows:

1. Cathay Pacific Airways (4.32)

2. Dragonair (4.27)

3. China Airlines (4.12)

4. Hong Kong Airlines (4.11)

5. Thai AirAsia (3.83)
