A variety of high-end equipment such as robots and unmanned skid loaders showcased at the 2015 Xiamen Industry Expo has received much attention from the industry watchers, xinhuanet.com reported April 13.

Xiamen XGMA Machinery Co, one of the major exhibitors from the city, displayed a series of high-end large machinery products such as loaders, excavators and cranes, which have received good market recognition, said Xu Zhenming, president of the company. He believes large machinery companies should strive to make green and energy-saving products and that the new energy industry is to have good a promising future.

Changtai county of Zhangzhou, Fujian province, also held a promotion meeting at the event, resulting in signing 17 projects with a total investment of 4.56 billion yuan ($735 million).

Changtai will build a high-end equipment manufacturing park with a total planned area of nearly 450 hectares, which will develop as a comprehensive industrial zone boasting independent intellectual properties and strong innovation capability, according to Zhan Wei, the deputy Party chief of the county.

The 2015 Xiamen Industry Expo is held at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center April 12-15. Jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronics Products (CCCME), Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association and the Xiamen government, the event is one of the largest-scale and most influential exhibitions concerning machinery and electronics in the country.
