Bahrain to be guest country of honor at this year's CIFIT
The 2015 China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) is expected to be kicked off at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center this September. As an important country along the 21 Century Maritime Silk Route, the Kingdom of Bahrain will attend the fair as a guest country of honor of CIFIT.
Bahrain will set up a 1,000-square-meter exhibition area to exhibit its investment environment, developing projects, tourism, culture, and landscapes at the 2015 CIFIT. Meanwhile, a China-Bahrain Economic Trade Cooperative Forum will be held to attract agencies from countries along the 21 Century Maritime Silk Route.
The organization committee of the fair will hold a special project meeting conference for Bahrain to search business opportunities in the areas of finance and banking, infrastructure construction, information communication technology, and energy and environmental protection. Additionally, a themed forum for countries along the maritime silk route, the forum of "Investment opportunities between Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank and Maritime Silk Route Countries," will be held during the fair.

As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
