CIFIT advocates E-commerce industry
Internet technology and E-business solutions will be in the limelight at the 19th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), which will run from Sept 8 to 11 in Xiamen, Fujian province.
Ma Yun, chairman of the e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, is among the big names confirmed to attend the fair and deliver speeches. Alibaba has invited 2,000 business associates to attend its seminar on cross-border e-commerce as a sideline to the fair.
Three themed events will be held during the fair. They are Internet and innovation forum for start-ups, a seminar on Internet financing, and cross-Straits Internet industry convention.
The China Electronic Commerce Association will partner with the fair's organizer to host a China electronic commerce exhibition.

Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
