Indian business circle to join 2015 CIFIT

A delegation from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) visited the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs, which is organizing the 2015 China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), on August 12.

Qiu Guoyue, deputy chief of the bureau, received his Indian counterparts and confirmed the details of their participation at the 2015 CIFIT. The fair will be held from Sept 8 to 11th in Xiamen, Fujian province, in East China.

FICCI, largest of its kind, is a non-profit organization that speaks for India's business circles. It vows to cooperate with the 2015 CIFIT to deepen India's economic and industrial collaboration with China.

India has set up a 200-square-meter Made in India pavilion to show off its industrial development during the four-day trade fair at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center.

Officials from India's investment authority will introduce investment opportunities and the Indian government's investment policies at a presentation. Mr. Y.K. Sailas Thangal, India’s Consul-General in Guangzhou, will speak at the event.

China and India have seen a steady growth in bilateral trade in recent years. China became India's largest trading partner in 2014.
