The first batch of cargo bound for the 2015 China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) cleared customs in Xiamen, Fujian province, on August 25.

The cargo weighed in at 327 kilograms and included exhibition items from Portuguese and Taiwan, such as wine and burdock, and promotional materials (brochures and posters).

After being fast-tracked, the exhibition items will soon be transferred to the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center (XICEC) where they will be put on display.

The Xiamen customs authority has set up a task force to oversee shipments related to the 2015 CIFIT. The work of the task force is to post customs information through text messages and offer counseling services. The team also works with the XICEC to provide time-efficient one-stop clearance services.

The 2015 CIFIT will run from Sept 8 to 11 in Xiamen, Fujian province.
