Added value of Xiamen's tertiary industry hits $9 billion in first quarter

The tertiary industry in Xiamen generated 57.58 billion yuan ($9 billion) in added value in the first quarter of this year, Xiamen Daily reported on May 4.

The added value of the tertiary industry maintained a growth of 7.8 percent year-on-year, taking up 56.9 percent of Xiamen's GDP.

Of the ten sectors with annual revenue above 10 million yuan in tertiary industry, five saw double-digit growth compared to the same period last year, including information technology, leasing, commercial services, and education sectors.
