Xiamen Industry Expo sees 161m yuan in orders sealed

Roughly 161 million yuan ($22.99 million) worth of orders were completed at the 2020 Xiamen Industry Exposition (XMIE), which was held in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province from July 9 to 12.

Taiwan-based Jantek Electronics Ltd and Hung Shih Technology Co Ltd secured orders worth 3 million yuan and received 6 million yuan worth of earnest money deposits at the expo.

In addition, more than 80 percent of the exhibitors received orders or intended orders, with some revealing that the results were far better than expected.

The 2020 XMIE, with an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, attracted 23,175 participants and invited 54 guests to share their insights to 3,047 audience members.

With its focus on cross-Straits trade, industrial cooperation, printing, packaging, and water environment development, the expo organized more than 10 forums, seminars, and product presentations.

The expo also held a water exhibition for the first time, with an exhibition area of 4,000 square meters, gathering many renowned companies such as Zoeller, Xylem, and Angel.
