CIFIT holds promotional meeting in Shanghai

The promotional meeting for the 2020 China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) was held in Shanghai on July 16.
Eight consul generals, one deputy consul general, 34 chairmen of overseas commerce chambers, and numerous entrepreneurs from 33 countries, including the United Kingdom, Finland, and South Africa, attended the meeting.
Chen Haoying, director of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition, introduced the 2020 CIFIT and discussed the investment environment in Xiamen, the city hosting the event.
Director of the Trade and Investment Center of the Philippines in Shanghai, Zhang Baomin from Shanxi (the 2020 CIFIT's guest province of honor), and Lyu Wanrong of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, delivered presentations at the promotional meeting.
In addition, Li Yuan, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Development Zones, Zheng Liangxi, general manager of the Strategic Development Department of Alibaba in Fujian, Sun Hongdan, partner of FOF Weekly, and Yu Xin, general manager of Shenzhen New Fortune Multimedia Co Ltd, were invited to discuss how to make full use of CIFIT and how to bring more high-quality resources to the annual event.
The 2020 CIFIT is scheduled to be held from Sept 8 to 11 and can be attended both online and offline.
The event's organizing committee will launch a “Cloud CIFIT” platform in collaboration with Alibaba on the first day of the event, enabling participants to showcase their products, make negotiations, sign agreements, and place orders online.
The event's physical exhibition will focus on promoting investment and has a combined area of 100,000 square meters.
The fair plans to hold more than 10 high-end forums and authoritative information releases during its four-day schedule, including the International Investment Forum (IIF), Industrial Internet Innovative Development Conference, and China International Conference on Green Innovative Development, as well as the releases of the World Investment Report (Chinese Version) and Africa Investment Report at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
